Ported Pig Launcher Trigger

Nevis Pipeline Products, LLC., has recently launched a range of Ported Pig Launching Triggers (PPLT) that form the central component for use with automated pig launching systems.
The Patent Pending design permits the handling of both traditional cleaning pigs as well as intelligent inspection tools and can be retrofitted to existing pig trap housings.
Depending on the design of the trap, multiple cleaning pigs are loaded directly within the trap housing or with a magazine sleeve and with the Ported Pig Triggers lowered to safely secure the pings within the vessel.
Launching of a pig can either be set by timer or by virtue of a remote signal with operation of the system being such as to raise the Ported Pig Trigger thereby permitting the passage of the pig as well as diverting the kicker line flow to the rear of the pig providing the necessary propulsion to transfer the pig to the minor barrel / pipeline.
Integration of the PPLT with hydraulic drive cylinders with low voltage pump enables the system to be operated using a local panel powered by battery and solar panel array to eliminate the need for a power source at the site location.
